Is Go City card valid at the Vasa Museum
Stockholm Go City All-Inclusive Pass is admitted at the Vasa Museum. There is no
need to pre-book any ticket is you have a Go City Pass.

Do I get free admission or discount at the Vasa Museum?
0–18 years old: Yes, but children under 12 years old need to be accompanyed by
an adult.
19 years old: Not if you visit privately. You get free admission when you visit
the Vasa Museum with your upper secondary schoo/High school.
Certified guide: Free admission, upon presentation of your guide ID. The card is
valid for one person.
Companion: Companions to visitors with disability are granted free admission
upon presentation of certificate or attestation. For more information regarding

Friends of the Vasa Museum: Free admission, upon presentation of your
membership. The membership also grants you free tickets to our talks, events,

The Vasa Museum is a cash free museum. In our entrance, shop, and restaurant you
easily pay by card. We accept American Express, VISA, Mastercard, Diners Club
International, and Maestro.

What is a combination ticket?
At the Vasa Museum we offer combination tickets valid at our museum, as well as
our sister museum Vrak – Museum of Wrecks. The combination ticket is valid for
72 hours.
You can purchase combination tickets through our website. It is also possible to
purchase tickets when you arrive to the Vasa Museum or Museum of Wrecks.
You can also purchase ticket to only one museum, and then pay for the difference
at the other museum, however, you have to present a valid ticket to the staff at
the Ticketing office.

Is it possible to pay with cash?
The Vasa Museum is a cash free museum. This makes the museum a safer place for
visitors and employees.
In our entrance, shop and restaurant you can easily pay with debit/credit card.
We accept American Express, VISA, Mastercard, Diners Club International and
Maestro.
Discount with International Press card
Members of the press are allowed a visit free of charge at our museum, if you
have a (valid) press card. Show your card to the personnel at the Vasa Museum’s
ticketing office and they will grant you free admission.
If you should be interested in any kind of press service for example press
photos for an article, or in case of further questions, please do not hesitate
to contact the information office by emailing our registry
(registrator@statensmuseermtf.se), ahea of your visit.
Discount for Ukrainians?
The Vasa Museum does not have the possibility to offer free admission to
Ukrainian citizens.
Unlike Skansen (link to external website) and Tekniska museet (link to external
website), for example, our museum is state-owned.
We are part of the governmental agency The Swedish National Maritime, Transport
and Military Museums, and as a public authority we cannot give a single
nationality free admission, nor asylum seekers.

Discount for people with disability?
The Vasa Museum has no discount for visitors with disabilities.
Assistant or companions to visitors with disabilities have free admission. It is
recommended to bring certification in case the Ticketing Office asks. This
applies to both visitors with visible or invisible disabilities.
