Guided Tours at the Vasa Museum
The Vasa Museum offer open guided tours in English every day for individual
visitors. The tour is 25 minutes long and included in the entrance fee. Before
or after the guided tour you can see the Film about Vasa.
Ask at the information desk when the next tour will start. You can also phone
the information desk during opening hours +46 (0)8 519 558 10.

Audio Guide
The Vasa Museum's audio guide is in many languages and you can find it on our
website. The audioguide is included in the admission.
You listen to the audio guide through your own smartphone, while using the
museum's free Wi-Fi. We recommend our visitors to bring their own headphones, as
the museum does not have any for loan.

What temperature is it inside the museum?
The temperature in the Ship Hall is constantly around 18 Degrees Celsius (64,4
Degrees Fahrenheit).
We recommend that visitors bring cardigan or spring jacket, especially during
the summer when it is hot outside, as visitors may feel chilly when entering the
museum.
Luggage restrictions
Wheeled cases and large items of luggage are not allowed in the museum.
It is permitted to bring handbags and smaller backpacks (lap top size), which
you carry in your hand, on your back or your front during the entire visit.
Please do not leave your bags unattended at any point during your visit.
We recommend visitors to store luggage at the luggage storage at Stockholm
Central Station.
Is photography och recording video allowed inside the museum?
You are welcome to take photos as well as record video inside the Vasa Museum
for your own purposes. Feel free to use flash and tripods. Selfie sticks are not
allowed inside the museum.
If you are going to use the photos and/or video for commercial purposes please
contact the information office first: registrator@smtm.se.
Does the Vasa Museum have baby changing facilities and high chairs?
It is possible to find several baby changing facilities in several WC at the
Vasa Museum and the Vasa Museum’s restaurant provide high chairs for visitors to
borrow.
Access for visitors with poor vision
The Vasa Museum is quite dark due to the preservation of Vasa. However, it is
possible to get close to the items shown in the exhibitions.
It is allowed to use headlamp inside the museum, if you need better lighting to
read the exhbition text.
For the visually impaired there is also a model of Vasa, that you use your hands
to feel how Vasa is built. If you are interested in this model, please contact
the Information Desk upon arrival.

Can we eat packed lunch in the museum?
The Vasa Museum cannot offer indoor space to eat packed lunches.
If the weather is nice, there are plenty of places outside the museum building
on Djurgården, where you can have a picnic.
We recommend that you plan meals before or after the museum visit.
You can also eat at the Vasa Museum's Restaurant. If you are a larger group, you

The Vasa Museum's Restaurant is open every day the Vasa Museum is open.

The menu includes for example a dish of the day, salad, classic Swedish
meatballs, and sandwiches. Children’s portions are available at a reduced price.
For a traditional Swedish fika there are cakes, buns and cookies.
